It's often the greed that erupts chaos in our minds. One cannot stay happy until and unless he learns to get satisfied with what he has. The greed to want everything the other person has leads to unhappiness. There was a story in a children's comic which explained this theory of happiness. There was a farmer who had a small farm and a family of four. He did agriculture and led a happy life with his family. He used to play with his children during his free time, spent quality time with his wife and was satisfied with whatever he earned. On the contrary, to this, there was a rich merchant, who had everything, every possible thing that makes a man rich, but he was never happy. He was always busy with his work, trying to earn more and more money. He never had time for himself or his family. And hence, he was never happy.

This story explains the very idea of happiness in satisfaction. If you want to stay happy, you need to cultivate the habit of being satiated with whatever you have.

Do not dwell on your failures. We all are the captain of our ship. There are days when the wind is in our favour and we get a smooth sail and there are days when we face a storm. The ship gets out of our control, shakes, shivers, tumbles and sometimes it sinks too. But we need to learn that it's a part of life. The wind will not always be in our favour. If there are failures and there will be a success too. Failures give experience. Failure is the best teacher and the best guide.

People who sob and mourn their failures never learn to grow from them. The ones who look back at what they lost and do not focus on what they have and what they can do, never achieve success and are never happy.
Learn from your failures and move on with the lesson that it gave.

Being positive can do miracles. Positiveness is also the key to success. If you're positive about things, then you alleviate your chances of failure.

Look at the bright side, appreciate it. Pessimist people are never happy. If you're busy pointing out the negativities and focusing on the things that aren't good enough then you'll drown yourself in the infinite pool of unhappiness.
The build hypothesis states that positive emotions, over time, build personal physical, intellectual, and social resources. This means that over time, positive thinking can help us to do more, think better, and have better social relationships – all things that contribute to greater happiness in our lives

Almost all of us count the things we lack. We always complain about not having everything other people have. That's what makes a lot of us unsatisfied and unhappy.

The key to happiness is to be grateful for everything that we have. We should learn to thank god for the people around us, for our friends and family and for all the things that we have. You should wake up and thank god for another beautiful day. Cultivate the habit of thanking for everything that you have. You'll soon realize that you're happier than before.
We need to hone in on what we should be grateful for. There are various ways you can do this. Here are some ideas:

When you wake up, remind yourself mentally of three things that you can be grateful for.

Some people prefer to write down three things and keep a list to remind themselves now and again.

Express gratitude by phoning your significant other or by treating a colleague to coffee for their help with a project or task.

It's a human tendency to judge. But judgement never brings happiness. All it brings is agitation and disgust for other people. It hampers your mental peace and thus leaving you sad and agitated.

To be happy, one of the important points is to keep in mind the idea of not judging people or things. We should learn to ignore things that are not according to us or doesn't fit our idea or perception. It's okay for people to not do things according to their liking.
Learn to be patient and ignore things that you don't like the way it is.
