HOW TO CHOOSE A DIET PLAN

CONSULT A DIETITIAN

We tend to overlook the need and importance of a dietician. I would suggest everyone consult a dietitian if they want to see a visible change in their body. It’s would be a stupid decision to follow somebody else’s diet just because it worked for them. For people with health conditions, you should be really cautious of what diet plan you choose for yourself. If you’re somebody who has diabetes and takes insulin, you need to have a diet that balances your blood sugar. For people with heart disease, y’all need to restrict your sodium intake. Different diet plans are described to people with different health conditions. So, it’s essential to discuss with your dietitian or doctor before starting on with anything.

DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF

DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF

Dieting doesn’t mean you need to torment your body to a level where you literally starve yourself. However scientific your diet may sound if you think that you crave certain food and that you cannot stay without it then DON’T. Limit your intake and slowly try to detach yourself but if you think you can wake up one day and stop yourself from eating your favs then you’re fooling yourself. Including small portions of your favourite foods and beverages won’t harm you.

INCLUDE FIBER AND WATER

Optimum nutrition can only be achieved if you include the powerful duo of fiber and water with protein. Dietary fibers make your stool bulky and soften it. Therefore, it helps to maintain your bowel health. Water too is essential to eliminate the waste from the body in the form of urine and stools. Hence, the dynamic duo of water and fiber prevents constipation and keeps your body clean.

EXERCISE REGULARLY AND TAKE AN ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF REST

Needless to mention, any perfect diet plan only becomes successful when practised with regular exercise and proper sleep. Exercise can increase metabolism, or how many calories you burn in a day. It can also help you maintain and increase lean body mass, which also helps increase the number of calories you burn each day. Just like any machine our body needs rest. Allowing the body to rejuvenate and restart is really essential so you need to ensure that you get an adequate amount of sleep. Cutting short on any one of them may lead to serious issues and won’t make the process of weight loss a successful one.
